Nya and I went to see Bishop Allen last night. It was awesome of course. The players are currently Christian and Justin, plus this guy Jon, a one-time ska band saxophonist (for Skavoovie and the Epitones) who I knew at Harvard, and Justin�s girlfriend D�Arby. They all rotate on a variety of different instruments because the band apparently has no drummer right now.
Christian in fact was simultaneously playing guitar and drums. This seemed like quite a workout, but Christian and Justin are pretty ambitious. The other members were similarly peripatetic. At one point, Jon was playing baritone sax, xylophone, and a drum/cymbal. Please bear in mind that Bishop Allen is doing all this to entertain you. Your admission dollar goes far with them.
Anyway, the band is on a brief tour and you should go see them if you live in one of the following cities:
